The Unabridged Journals of Sylvia Plath
Rating: 5/5 - (How can it not be?)
Sylvia Plath is a literary goddess. Seriously though. Within this memoir, there are transcripts and her hospitalization papers and her poetry and her short stories and biography. It's nice to have it all in one place as one place of reference, especially when it looks so aesthetically pleasing. Nobody can ever say a bad word about her. She's a talented artist who unfortunately was gone too soon.
Favourite Quote: "I can never read all the books I want; I can never be all the people I want and live all the lives I want. I can never train myself in all the skills I want. And why do I want? I want to live and feel all the shades, tones and variations of mental and physical experience possible in my life. And I am horribly limited.”
